Meet Dr. Winn

Mission

Dr. Anthony Winn is the primary Physical Therapist and Personal Trainer at PT². He created PT² so each client can expect a program designed specifically for his or her unique circumstances. This is achieved using movement, manual therapy, and other evidence-based techniques or modalities to help achieve his/her individual goal.

education

Anthony graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy from St. Augustine for Health Sciences. While obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Anthony served as an assistant to UT’s basketball, volleyball, and tennis teams’ strength training programs. While pursuing his master’s degree, he had the honor of working closely with Dr. Dixie Stanforth. During this time, he examined stretching methods and their concurrent role in performance and injury prevention. This opportunity offered an in-depth look at how soft tissue structures of the body use movements to harness its energy. This immediately sparked his interest in manual therapy, leading him to pursue his licensure in massage therapy. Anthony then decided to further his reach in the healthcare community by obtaining his Doctor of Physical Therapy. During his studies, he focused on using manual therapy and movement therapy to address injuries and dysfunctions in patients. For his second clinical rotation, he was able to study abroad in Australia with Dr. Cynan Lewis to observe and learn from some of the best in the profession.

Dr. Winn continues to stay on the cusp of manual therapy and functional science research to provide the most effective and efficient results, both in the gym and in everyday life. From rehabilitation to daily functionality through fitness, combining physical therapy with personal training streamlines the process to produce the best quality care available.
